3,400 hectares of wetland approximately 19 kms south west of Perth City, comprising 19 lakes and other associated wetlands in two main chains parallel to the coast. As a refuge for wildlife including migratory bird species, nature watching and photography are popular activities. The eastern chain of wetlands was a major trade route for Nyoongar people and the area provided camps, ceremonies, bush tucker and resources used in bushcraft.

The limestone cliffs along Henderson foreshore are also contained within the park.
