In the south-western corner of Western Australia, about 250km south of Perth, the planning area extends 95km along the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge, from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin and a further 36km east of Augusta along the Scott Coastal Plain. The reserves range from less than a hectare to more than 21,000ha in size.

Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park receives the highest visitation of all national parks in the State.

This area is part of the traditional lands of the Wardandi and Pibblemen language groups of the Noongar people.
