As there is limited firewood supply closer to the metropolitan area, permission to collect firewood in the Perth Hills differs from other DBCA regions.
You need to have a permit (Authority) to collect firewood in the Perth Hills. The Authority is valid for one visit only.
- The Authority includes a range of conditions under which you can collect firewood. These conditions are there to reduce the environmental impact of collecting firewood.
- With the Authority, you will receive a receipt and a map or maps of designated firewood collection areas.
- The Authority must be used within four weeks of the expiry date, or by the end of the season if that is less than four weeks away.
