State forest and timber reserves supply a range of products that include:
- minerals and other raw materials
- craftwood and burls
- wildflowers and honey.
These resources make a significant contribution to communities in the State's south west though revenue and employment.
While you can enjoy visiting our State forests, you need approval to collect forest products.
For the purpose of the Forest Products Act 2000, forest products means —
(a) trees or parts of trees
(b) timber, sawdust or chips
(c) charcoal, gum, kino, resin or sap
