All commercial operations licence holders must comply with the Commercial Operator Handbook.

The handbook is a legal and informational document that outlines the conditions of a commercial operations licence. Operators must ensure that a copy of the handbook, together with a copy of their licence, is readily accessible (either in hard copy or electronic format) while conducting operations on lands and waters managed by DBCA.

The handbook serves a number of purposes:

  • educate and inform operators as to how they can help maintain and protect WA's natural environment for the long-term benefit of the State's tourism industry
  • minimise risks to park visitors
  • outline opportunities available to operators who are already conducting, or wish to conduct, operations on land managed by DBCA
  • clearly identify the licence conditions which apply to specific operations and areas by which operators must abide.

The Commercial Operator Handbook is available for download below.
