Private land conservation makes a significant contribution to the conservation of Western Australia’s biodiversity and is an important complement to the formal conservation reserve system.

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions offers two programs for private land conservation in Western Australia.

Land for Wildlife is a free, voluntary and non-binding program which encourages and assists landholders to manage wildlife habitat on their property.
