The Reportable Conduct Scheme makes Western Australian children safer.

The Scheme compels organisations that deliver services to children to notify allegations of, or convictions for child abuse by their employees to the Ombudsman WA and then investigate these allegations.

The Ombudsman will monitor, oversee and review these investigations. The Ombudsman WA may also at any time investigate matters itself.

The Reportable Conduct Scheme is designed to prevent harm to children by holding organisations accountable for the conduct of their staff.
