The Milyering Discovery Centre is the premier visitor information hub for the Nyinggulu (Ningaloo) Coast, located within Cape Range National Park. Before the start of this project, the park’s facilities, built in 1988, had not been significantly upgraded for many years.

Funding has been secured for a full refurbishment to commence in 2026 to ensure facilities meet contemporary visitor needs.

The scope of work includes improvements to the ceiling, lighting, windows and flooring, external shade shelters, and fully renovated flushing toilet facilities.

As the only visitor service provider in Cape Range National Park, the Milyering Discovery Centre will stay open during the refurbishment by moving services to a purpose-built temporary building in the current visitor carpark. Carparking capacity will remain unchanged, and visitors can expect the same opening hours and full range of services throughout the upgrade period.
